Three lead Premier at halfway in Brent Knoll Skittles

BANDITS, Burton Row Celtic and Rex's Mob are all joint leaders in the Premier Division at the halfway point of the Brent Knoll & District Mixed Skittles League season.

The Mob, champions of Division One last year, won by five away to Ourside on December 17 in the last matches before the Christmas break. Despite Bandits' Paul Scott having topped the alley with 73, his team lost by 21 away to Motivators, who had Derrick Mullins on 70.

Pete Waite's 71 led Burton Row Celtic to a 24-pin home win over Squirrels, while Jim Mogg hit 72 at the Prince of Wales but his team Hillbillies lost by 12 to Outlaws. Bombers won for only the second time, beating Berrow 8 by two with 75 from Rod Phillips and 70 by Julie Harris. Adam Larcombe hit 71 for the 8.

There are joint leaders in Division One: Ritz Crackers and Crown Jewels. Crackers won by ten at home to Incumberance, despite the visitors' John Bawdon having topped the alley with 70.

Jewels had to thank Paul Manktelow, because his 77 was crucial as they beat Burnham 8 away by just 2. Alan Derrick's 71 for Hotshots could not avert defeat by Knoll Inn Crackers at the Brent Knoll Inn.

Emily Mead topped the alley with 73 as Hell's Angels won by 32 away to Snoggers and Terry Court, also with 73, topped the Coopers alley, leading Allsorts to a 37-pin home win over Coasters.

In Division Two, Chris Martin hit 75 for Last Year's Losers, but they could not stop runaway leaders Royal Artillery reaching the halfway mark unbeaten.

Morland Marauders beat alleymates Dirty Dozen by just three and Mooey & the Choo Choos won at home by ten against Moggies.
