National 2 South
Taunton Titans 36, Clifton 13
TAUNTON Titans returned to winning ways in National 2 South after comfortably seeing off the challenge of Clifton under the lights at Hyde Park on Friday night.
Toby East's penalty got the hosts on the board before prop Isaac Dalton powered over for the first try of the match, which East converted.
The lead was stretched to 15-0 by the break, after which the hosts tightened their grip on the game with a try from winger Ollie Rice after a fine run from Australian debutant Julian Salvi, formerly of Leicester and Exeter Chiefs.
Salvi's back-row partner Jarrad Hayler secured a bonus point for the Titans by running in their fourth, and Sam Brown added another either side of a try for the visitors.
The match ended 36-13 in Taunton's favour - a confidence-boosting result after last weekend's disappointing defeat at Redruth.
