BRIDGWATER & Albion are looking to build on last weekend's opening day victory at Thornbury, as they travel to take on Hornets tomorrow.

Albion won 18-17 at a ground where they have traditionally struggled, much to the delight of director of rugby Geoff Sluman.

Sluman said: "Our performance in defence was exceptional, everybody worked for each other really well in the defensive phases, and it felt like if we stuck at doing the right things then we were going to get the right result.

"They are a tough and competitive side and were pretty capable, but we put in a standout team performance and a great effort all round."

Looking ahead to the Hornets match, Sluman added: "They came down from the league above so are used to playing at a higher level, which we will be very aware of.

"We also think that we will be playing on their 4G pitch, which we don’t have a lot of experience of playing on, so that will be another challenge for us.

"However, after winning at Thornbury and the way we have been in pre-season, we have no fear and travel with confidence; we will go and try to take the game to them."

Albion have one slight injury concern and that is over Ollie Steward, who took a knock to his knee and had to come off.

But they do have several players who were not available for the Thornbury match returning to the squad.
