BRIDGWATER Town boss Dave Pearse is urging his side to "forget" last weekend's 6-0 win over Brislington as they look for another three points at Chipping Sodbury on Saturday (3pm).

Town frontman Jack Taylor scored five of his side's six goals in a rampant display last time out and will be hungry for more against a side yet to register a point so far this season.

Pearse, however, has told his side to expect a tough test.

“They’ve beaten good teams in the FA Cup this year, and when we went there last season they caused us problems," he said.

“We have to forget the Brislington win - but if we turn up and play as we did on Saturday I’m confident we can get another good result.”

The Robins will be without Brett Trowbridge, who has returned to Taunton Town just three months after leaving the Peacocks.

The versatile midfielder had been on dual-registration with Street, but could yet return to make occasional appearances for Bridgwater.

Pearse said: “Brett’s a good player, and gave us experience in the middle of the park.

“He filled in for Mark Armstrong while he was on holiday and he’s been a big plus for us.

“He still has a dual registration with us, so we hope he’ll feature again for us this season.”

Elsewhere this weekend, Middlezoy Rovers and Bridgwater Town Reserves are in Somerset Senior Cup action.

Zoy, who recorded an impressive league win over Watchet Town last time out, travel to Brislington Reserves, while the Robins - who have won all three of their league matches so far - head to Ashton United.
