BRIDGWATER Town player-manager Dave Pearse is eyeing Saturday's game against Cribbs at Fairfax Park as the perfect chance for his side to consolidate their place in the top six.
Town, who were this week named the Toolstation Western League Premier Division Team of the Month for January & February, go into the match two points above their seventh-placed opponents but with two games in hand, so they have the chance to widen the gap with a victory.
Pearse said: “It’s an opportunity for us to pull away from the sides below us and cement ourselves in the top six.
“It will be tough - they are well organised - so it is up to us to keep our performance levels as high as they have been of late.”
Goalkeeper Jake Viney misses out after his late sending off in last weekend's defeat to Buckland, while Mike Duffy is still away in Australia.
Elsewhere, Middlezoy travel to Odd Down Reserves in the Somerset County League Premier Division knowing a win could take them fourth if other results go their way - Bridgwater Town Reserves travel to sixth-placed Shirehampton.
