Somerset County Premier
Middlezoy Rangers 0, Fry’s Club 2
MIDDLEZOY lost at home for the second week running, and will have no complaints following a below-par performance against Fry’s Club.
The hosts started well and should have led on nine minutes, but Jed Williams shot straight at the keeper.
The visitors then took control, and the opening goal arrived after a sustained spell of pressure on the half-hour mark after the Middlezoy defence failed to clear the danger on three separate occasions.
The visiting side continued to dominate in the second half and doubled their lead on 61 minutes when Brandon Thomas beat the offside trap to race clear and find the net.
Williams did test the visiting keeper with an effort from the edge of the area, but Fry’s came away with a deserved win.
Middlezoy, now fifth in the table, go to Shepton Mallet on Saturday.
Middlezoy: Turner, Hall, Brown, Clapp, Lintell, Tucker (Bone), Conway (Warren), Luce, Merrick (Temlett), Williams, Wright.
