THIS weekend all local rugby fans will be focusing on the derby match between North Petherton and Bridgwater & Albion that takes place at Beggars Brook tomorrow (ko 2.30pm).
When the two sides met in September it was the Albion who claimed the bragging rights, 22-8, something that the hosts will be keen to rectify this weekend.
They go into the match off the back of contrasting results - Albion won 20-15 at home to Newent last Saturday, whereas North Petherton lost 29-21 at Matson.
Albion are eighth in the table with 38 points, having won eight games, while Pethy are two places below with 36 points.
Saturday’s game is bound to attract a large crowd, so the advice as always is to arrive in plenty of time.
