Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 S&W
Slimbridge 1, Bridgwater Town 2
BRIDGWATER Town won only their second league game of the season on Tuesday to lift themselves off the bottom of the table.
They were delayed in getting to Slimbridge by M5 closures, meaning kick off was pushed back to 3.15pm, and they fell behind after only two minutes, Marley Thomas putting the hosts ahead.
However, Bridgwater limited the damage to one, the score remaining 1-0 at half time, and they then staged a superb comeback in the second period.
Syd Camper pulled them level with a 63rd-minute strike, and that is how it stayed into injury time.
Three minutes into added on time, George Sinnott popped up with a fantastic goal to win it for the visitors.
Final score from Thornhill Park is..........
