HAVING just finished one of the most unbelievable games I have been a part of (Somerset's dramatic one-wicket win over Surrey), it seems a good time to reflect upon Leachy's (Jack Leach) standout performance, writes Tom Abell.

Not only was he outstanding with the ball, his partnership with Groeners (Tim Groenewald) to see us home was something special.

It is great to see Leachy and the Overtons stepping up under pressure and supporting the senior guys that have been performing so well for us.

The feeling on the balcony when we won the game was like nothing I have ever experienced and the support from the crowd was incredible.

I think it's safe to say that the mood in the camp is a lot better having got a result from such an unlikely position. I like to think it was a demonstration of the character we have in the squad.

We feel it is a result that has been coming as we having been playing pretty well, however we haven't managed to get over the line on a couple of occasions.

The game at Lord's was a bit disappointing given the way we had been playing, however having the opportunity to represent Somerset at Lord's is something that will stay with me forever.

With the upcoming break in the Specsavers County Championship it was crucial for us to get a result.

We can now go into the one day fixtures with the confidence that has been built, and obviously there is a fair bit of excitement around the place with the arrival of Chris Gayle and Mahela Jayawardene.
