Pre-season friendly
Middlezoy Rovers Ladies 7, Pen Mill 1
ANUSIA Rouke’s hat-trick fired newly-formed Middlezoy Rovers Ladies to a 7-1 victory over Pen Mill on Sunday.
After a summer of change, the game itself proved to be a good work out for the ladies and despite their opponents playing in a lower league, they made Middlezoy work for their 2-0 half-time lead.
The second-half proved to be more one sided as Middlezoy’s power and skill shone through.
Goals from Anusia Rourke (3), Georgia Coles (2), Rosie Williams and Sam Brass rounded off a convincing 7-1 victory on a historic day for the club.
The team are still looking for new players to join and they train on a Tuesday night’s 7pm-8.30pm at Bridgwater College.
