SYDENHAM Rangers ensured they finish the Division Three season with a 100% record after a 6-0 thrashing of bottom side Highbridge Town Reserves.

The league champions controlled proceedings through, as Jake Adey got himself a hat-trick, Cam Wilkinson, Jason Stephenson and Adam Knight all added one each.

Bridgwater Sports Reserves needed four points from their two remaining games to finish runners-up – and they did so in style, starting with a 6-2 win at Woolavington – there were braces from both Callum James and Mason Gill - Paul Organ and Liam Clapp chipped in with one each.

Sam Godfrey and Josh Cockett replied for Woolavington. So just needing one point for the last game against local rivals Redgate Sports made no mistake at all winning it 5-1 - Jason Jones hit three, Callum James and Richard Smith added one each with Nick Hallet scoring for Redgate. In Division Four, Ash Rangers were already champions going into their last game against Middlezoy Athletic and they finished their season with a win, albeit not over convincing with a 3-2 victory.

Lewis Scutt scored twice and Jon Lambert once with Kier Newman scoring both Middlezoy goals. Creech Cougars were runners-up in this division.

In Division Five, East Bower were pipped to the title by The Gallery, who beat Bishops Lydeard Colts 5-1.

At the beginning of the week there were three sides all able to win this division, East Bower sat at the top but had finished their campaign, The Gallery Reserves had just one to play but were one point behind and Bishops Lydeard Colts had two to play and were only two behind.

The week started with Bishops Lydeard Colts playing mid-week against Morganians Reserves and they won the game 11-1 taking them to the top of the table.

Shane Hills scored four, Jack Addicott and Andy Springer got two each, Harry Burston, Charlie Cook and Ross Udall all added one each, Paul Hancock got the Morganians consolation goal.

That set up the crunch last game against The Gallery Reserves perfectly with basically winner take all but a draw for Lydeard would have been enough for them to take the title.

The Gallery started the battle for the title scoring within a few minutes when Jaime Evans popped up with a header from two yards.

Ten minutes later Jon Perkins went on a run from his own half and burst past the Lydeard defence and squared the ball to Mark Pope to tuck it home to make it 2-0.

Captain Brad Hayes also got himself on the score sheet to put Gallery 3-0 up at half-time. Bishop Lydeard got themselves back in it with an Adam Cornish strike but super subs Scott Capel picking up a rare header and Ollie smith finished the game off at 5-1.

Bridgwater Wolves signed off with a 5-3 victory over Fivehead, who will be joining the Perry Street League next season to reduce the travelling for their players.

Ash Mills got a hat trick for the Bridgwater side and Brad Walford got the other two.

In the Rowbarton Cup Final, Division Two Champions Alcombe Rovers cruised to the trophy, beating Division One champions, Locomotives 4-2.
