BRIDGWATER Bucs completed the perfect season with victory in the Somerset league Final on Friday night.
The Bucs beat the Taunton Vikings in a tight contest to crown an undefeated season.
The game got off to a slow start with Vikings looking to play a physical game - after a few frantic minutes Bucs settled down and started scoring.
They took a lead into the second quarter and were up by eight points going into the third.
Vikings had a much better third quarter but Bucs were playing smart and the Viking players started to get into foul trouble.
The game was still tight in the fourth, but with six minutes remaining, Bucs’ star men Paul Yabsley (21 points) and Mark Shroeder (20 points) stepped it up a gear and scored a big chunk of their points in the last quarter.
Bucs now go on to represent the county in the best of the west competition, where they will be looking to retain that title for a fourth year in a row.
