Plainsmen’s anchorman threw a 15-spare to win the game. Second place Breakaways won by 535-534 at home to Naps A, Chris Beck hitting 90, including a 24, third-place Harvest Moon won by 53 at home, and Zulus by two at the West India House with 467, their highest score they hit at home.

Daydreamers top Division 2, winning by 38 at the King William.

One point behind are Lambs, who won by 42 pins at home to Knowle Inn. Lamb Inn A won by 54 at Spaxton, and Young Flags by 37 at home, Pete Woodberry hitting 77.

In Division 3, Rams won by 27 at home to leaders Pigeon Shooters.

There were away wins for Grim Reapers by 34 at the Sedgemoor Inn, Moonrakers by three at Buccaneers and Old Bangers by nine at the Puriton Inn.

Hazelnuts won by 60 at home to George Inn with 502, and Jack’s Boys won by 44 at the Bunch of Grapes.

Jerry Builders won their first game this year by 28 at home, while Pethy Boys won by 24 at Stags.

In Division 5, Non Starters won by 20 at leaders Sportsman.

Second-placed Sarah’s Swingers won by 16 at Villistines, Admirals by 23 at home and Globetrotters won by one at home to Coates Club
