Regional league Three

Jupiter 46, Imperial Royals 52

JUPITER suffered a second successive league defeat on Sunday, as they slipped to a six-point reverse at Imperial Royals.

Imperials came out hard against the league leaders and weren't going to make it easy for Jupiter.

They took an early lead and left Jupiter trailing by just one goal at the end of the first quarter.

Fantastic blocking from Beckie Cowley gave Jupiter the edge in the start of the second quarter, forcing Imperials to change their game.

Imperials picked up the tempo but accurate shooting from Paige Davey kept them within reach leaving the score 23-18 to Imperials at half time.

With a change in the team, Jupiter went out strong and fighting, with great court play from Emma Reynolds.

Jupiter won the last quarter 14-13 thanks to some brilliant movement and shooting from player of the match Becky Palmer, unfortunately Jupiter were unable to catch Imperials with the final score being 52-46 to Imperials. Many thanks to Falcon for providing transport.

Neptune 40, Rubies 18

NEPTUNE took an early lead in the match, thanks to accurate shooting from Morganne Dunn (GA) and player of the match Kayleigh Haste (GS), ending the first quarter 12-7.

During the second quarter well timed feeds into the circle from Hazel Hucker (WA) and Chris Durant (C) saw Neptune extend their lead to 25-10.

Strong defence and interceptions from Julie McClean (WD), Sally Haysham (GD) and Lucy Brown (GK) saw Neptune concede only three, the third quarter finishing 34-13.

The final quarter saw Neptune hold onto their lead to win the game 40-18.

Mars 32, Avalon 46

THE first quarter saw Hana Middleton and Emily Harwood denying Avalon of their favourite overhead pass into the circle, which meant the score line was kept tight.

The second quarter was a different story with Mars letting their heads drop and allowing passing errors to creep in. Everyone fought for every pass and interception with Olivia Shorthouse and Chloe Trout dominating the centre court.

Juste Mockeliunaite made a huge difference to the line up and was simply glorious in the shooting circle.
