Premier First Division Cup

Middlezoy Rovers 1, Berrow 5

FOUR goals in the first-half of extra-time saw Middlezoy crash to a 5-1 defeat at home to Berrow in the Premier/First Division Cup on Saturday.

Craig Wright fired Middlezoy in front on 15 minutes as the hosts dominated proceedings.

But Berrow hit back through Scott Lismore on 70 minutes to force the tie into extra-time.

From here, it was Berrow who took charge of the game, racing into a 5-1 lead by the end of the first-period.

Lismore completed his hat-trick and there were further goals from Jack Taylor and Byron Lismore as Berrow hit Middlezoy on the counter attack.

There was no way back for Middlezoy, who must now concentrate on the league, where they take on fourth-place Glastonbury on Saturday.
