Taunton Youth League u12 Division One

Bishops Lydeard Youth u12 4, Wembdon Youth u12 Dragons 0

DRAGONS started brightly, winning a corner in the first minute and exerting continued pressure with Jack Williams and Marcus Sewell posing strong threats through the middle.

Lydeard though showed that they are worthy of a higher league position with some good play of their own, going close with a couple of good shots - but the Dragons played their most consistent football of the season and a good interchange by Alfie Sampson and Alfie Griffin certainly deserved more than the corner awarded, before Robert Fieldhouse was needed back in defence to ensure that the scores remained level at half-time.

Bishops Lydeard started the second half stronger, scoring from the edge of the box after just two minutes and pressurising the Dragons defence with every attack.

They scored their second past the unsighted Travis Moore before some excellent play by Marcus Sewell.

Lydeard continued to be the stronger team as the half moved on and scored two good goals in the last 10 minutes to give the score line a more one-sided view than the Dragons' overall play deserved.
