Sydenham Rubies 44, Walton 31
RUBIES secured their first win of the season with a 13-point triumph over Walton.
In the first quarter, Rubies had a good start with Michelle Parr and Steph Riordan shooting well- and this continued into the second quarter as they took an 18-15 lead.
The third quarter Rubies defence had to work really hard to ensure rubies kept their lead, Rhianne Lee and Megan Buller had a great game with keeping the pressure on Walton’s attack, this lead to both of them being voted players of the match.
At the end of the quarter Rubies had secured their first win of the season finishing 44-31.
