Tribute Somerset Two South

Morganians 32, Tor 0

A COMPLETE performance by Morganians shut out Tor for the full 80 minutes and helped to secure an emphatic 32-0 victory.

Feeding off a fantastic second half performance in last week’s game at Wellington, Morgs ran in five tries to secure a bonus point.

The home side’s superior fitness shone through as they broke the defensive line down with good link play. Five tries were scored in this fashion, as Dave Harris scored twice.

Debutant Joe Ashwell enjoyed a fine game from the flank and Jake Collard directed play well – and added to the scoresheet with a try and conversion.

Elliot Singleton was a strong-running option in the loose and added to the try count with a good pick-and-go from close range as Morgs went in to the break 20-0 up.

Dave Harris and Ryan Rossitter added two further tries with Will Hopkins adding another conversions.

The result puts Morgs second in Somerset 2S; they travel to Ivel Barbarians II this weekend.
