Saturn 37, Millfield 42

SATURN fell just short of Millfield in an exhausting battle.

The ever improving defending duo of Imma Matcham (GD) and Emma Downes (GK) did their best to disrupt Millfield's shooters from receiving the ball.

By half-time Millfield were leading by just one (19-18).

Saturn fought strong for the entire game but when tired legs crept in, the youth of the opposing school side shone through.

After a weak third quarter, Saturn picked up their game and dominated most of the final quarter with player of the match Karis Holleron (WA) playing some fantastic netball.

It wasn’t enough to take the lead with the final score 42-37 to Millfield.

Neptune 49, Walton Black 18

WITH their second encounter of the season Neptune faced Walton Black at home, a strong positive first quarter by all players saw Neptune take an early lead 11-5.

The second quarter saw Neptune extended this to 26-10 thanks to great defence and interception from GK Sally Haysham, brought down the court with support from Annia Holleron WD The second half Neptune continued in the same vein, player of the match Kayleigh Haste GS made great movements in the shooting circle and finished with some great shots, a winning score line 49-18

Venus 41, Vipers 47

VENUS fought hard to keep the scores close until half-time against a determined Vipers team.

Good shooting from Darcie Dunn and Hannah Setter meant the scores with even at the end of the third quarter.

A change round in the final quarter with some fresh legs from Emily Rossiter couldn't stop Vipers pulling away to win 47 -41.

Joint players of the match were Bex Dunn, Saskia Middleton and Catherine Clark.

Mercury 76, Walton Green 32

MERCURY played Walton Green for the second time this season and secured an emphatic victory.

Accurate shooting from Juste Mockeliunaite and Amy knight meant a 39-16 lead to Mercury at half time.

Good defence from Hana Middleton, Mary King and Emily Harwood gave centre players Elaine Bartlett and Charlotte Setter to give solid passing down the court, enabling for Juste and Amy to shoot consecutively.

Player of the match Amy Knight helped give Mercury the win of 76-32.
