CHRIS Duckworth, pictured, was in ace form at Enmore as he recorded a hole-in-one on the seventh with his trusty 30-degree PING G25 hybrid or, in his words, a seven iron.

In a high stakes game with Dave Wixon and Terry Linden, the ace banked £10 in bits and pieces alone.

With the pin placed back right he flirted/ clipped the tree with his soft draw before hitting the pin square on and dropping to Ducker’s delight.

There was a sigh of relief in the bar to find it all but empty and the hole-in-one tab was more than covered by Chris’ winnings.

He was quick to say this was his second hole-inone with the other at the short fourth at Taunton Vale using a wedge.

Sadly he won’t be placing the lucky ball on the mantelpiece as its lying at the bottom of the 14th pond, but it’s a shot he will never forget.

Oliver Sly took the plaudits in Division One after scoring a gross 74, resulting in a nett 66.

In second place, losing out by one stroke, was Ilya Litarskiy with a nett 67, and in third was Alfredo Curbishley with a nett 68.

The winner of Division Two, with a gross score of 75 and a fantastic nett 62, was Gabriel Beagrie.

Second was Tony Cushing with a nett 67 and third was Tshimollo Mapefane with a nett 68.

In the Gents' Qualifying Stableford, the Division One winner with a total of 38 points was Howard Neal followed in second place by Matt Lazenby with 36 points.

Matt edged second place on countback after coming in with an impressive back nine of 20 points. The unlucky golfer who missed out on countback was Tim Ramsay.

Countback was again used to decide the winner of Division Two after two golfers finished on 35.

Taking top spot was Graham Croucher with Jez Wallace second and Russell Cross third.
