JAMES Bushill led the way in Division One at Enmore Park during last week's Club Stableford with 39 points.

One point further back was Mike Lloyd with Carl Netto in third with 37 points.

Division Two was won by Paul Thorogood with 39 points, one ahead of second placed Ben Huish-May.

Three points further back, on 35 points, were Roger Walter and George Alexiou.

Division Three had the overall winner on the day, Mark Honywill with a fantastic 41 points, while second place went to Roger Butcher with Peter Hanlon in third - with 38 and 36 points, respectively.

In the Gents' Qualifying Stableford, leading the way in Division One was Michael Lee with a brilliant 43 points. Callum Tompkins' 41 points put him in second place, with Colin Scobie in third.

Two golfers tied on 39 points in Division Two, but it was Andrew Bennett who came out on top after countback, with Martyn Hill losing out.

In third, on 37 points, was Stewart Niven.

Paul Manley and Gavin Hurley, carded 45 points to win the Lyme Regis 4BB Open on Saturday. Ken Doig and Tim Smith led the way out for the Seniors against Honiton – with Tim chipping in once and holing three long putts. The pair won five and three – before Mike Rossiter and Ernie Merrick won four up.

Dave Weston and Derek Bremner won five and four – and Rob Loder and Adrian Ward halved the match.

Finally, Martin Collard and Pete Clarke were emphatic winners, seven and ssix.

Enmore were victorious with four matches won and one halved.

At the dinner afterwards the Captain of Honiton, who had never played Enmore, as had a few of the other Honiton Team was very complimentary about Enmore.

He said: “Enmore Park Golf Course is the finest course I have ever played, and this was endorsed by all the Honiton Team.”
