LAST Wednesday’s evening entertainment at Enmore Park saw Ladies Captain Judith Sperring have her head shaved to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.

With fund matching by Barclays Bank, nearly £2,000 was raised, and Judith would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity.

She would also like to thank her hairdresser, Mandy Blake, and local cancer research coordinator Keith Fishlock.

Earlier in the day, Norma Milthorp, Ann Whyte and Kath Carr were victorious with 32 points in the ladies competition, while David Weston and Paul Henson, with 25 points, took the men’s title.

The highest score was achieved by club Captain Ken Doig, scoring 90.

The ladies had a five-way tie on 30 points between Megan Dennett, Jackie Bull, Julie Stafford, Daphne Priddy and Gwen Lovett.

The winners of the day were Julie Saunders, Sue Merrick and Tracey Clapp with 80 points.

After a wonderful meal the evening's entertainment was the head shave at a vigorous grade 2 on the skinhead scale.
