CAPTAIN Ken Doig again led the team into battle against Avon and Somerset’s ‘finest’.
The police match is always held in good spirits, and the team was led off by captain Ken and Neil Whisler.
They began with the police trying to catch them in their blue lights, but a 7 and 6 victory ensued with Ken and Neil shaking on the 12th.
The pairing of Mike Rossiter and Derek Bremner thought they would lull the police into a false sense of security and allowed them to give them a ticket by being beaten 3 and 1.
Rob Loder and Chris Marsh were also away fast and managed a 3 and 2 victory.
Club pro Nigel and Alan Vickery were beaten 2 and 1, and the pairing of Howard Neal and Doug Read took a half.
Ronnie Brown and Andy Criddle competed in the last game and sealed the match for Enmore with a resounding 7 and 6 victory.
The first team were in action on Friday, but went down 4 and 2 to Weston.
In the Ladies Section, the Centenary Trophy County knockout second round was played against Long Sutton and won well by Judy Hancock and Jan Hambly at Windwhistle.
