DESPITE a drizzly day a large number of ladies played in pink in support of the Lady Captain’s Charity – Cancer Research UK.

The winners were Jane Banks, Jenny Butcher and Debbie Dingle with a net 73.5, while Pat Rodgers, Eve Bolton and June Symcox came second with a net 72.5.

The Daniel Cup Bogey has been contested with Carl Netto coming out on top with +4.

This was good enough to beat the field by one shot with Dave Pascoe, Tim Woodley, Ryan Brewer and Adam Wright all coming in on +3. In sixth place, one shot further back on +2, was Paul Thorogood.

The Over-18 Handicap Bogey was won by Andy Bennett with +4. Richard Crook took second place with +3, while Mike Tompkins shot +2 to finish third.

Colin Galbraith and Sarah Blake stormed to victory in the Mixed Leonard Cup Foursomes with 41 points to secure a seven-shot victory.

In second place with 34 points was the pairing of Wayne Hawley and Marilyn Turrell, one shot better off than third-placed Paddy and Ruth Maclennan, while fourth place went to Pip and Mel Millar on 31 points.

First place in the Junior Loder Shield Foursomes went to the pairing of Tom Cornish and Jack Dray with 35 points, while in second place with 33 points were Matt Ison and Jake Bovington.

Congratulations to Dave Dixon for winning another pro-am at Ross-On-Wye with an 8 under 64 and Matt Kippen on his hole in one at the Lagonda Trophy at Gog Magog GC.
