AFTER the Bank Holiday break, top scorer in the Bridgwater & District Summer Skittles League was Richard Curtis (Birdies) in the Men’s Main Division with 73 against Five O’Clockers at the Castle Club, helping Birdies win by 13 pins.

At the New Foresters, Wrong Direction had their first win by one against Cannington Chemistry with Mason Gill (Wrong Direction) topping the board with 56.

Sydenham Centre’s Fireworks had a convincing win against Musketeers by 59 with John Dennison scoring 60.

The Early Division had three out of four home wins for Wanderers by 37 against Plonkers; Riff Raff by 43 against Union Jacks and Daydreamers by 46 against Here 4 The Beer with Flag’s Joe Cresswell hitting 66.

Outs & Ins won by 16 away to Bunch of Idiots helped by Gary Short scoring 55.

In the Premier Division, Limeys won away to Mr Brun’s Boys by eight with Rob Sharman (Limeys) scoring 55.

Martyn Hurley’s 63 helped Maltesers win by 27 against Playboys and Gamblers led all the way and won by 42 against Gentle Giants.

Matchmakers played Slade’s at Cobblestones and won by 15.

In the Mixed Blondes Division, Pin Pals came out winners from a close game against Pretenders at the Thatchers Arms by just eight and Rebellions’ Chris Marks scored 54 to help them win by 26 against Wild West.

Trevor Gibbs (Moorlanders) 65 topped the board at Lions Club and they came out the winners by 15 against Mixtures.

Wish We Waz were the winners by 17 against Radishes in the Bluebell Division while Trumpeters triumphed at the Harvest Moon by 31 against Snoots.

Legion Louts first game of the season proved to be a winner by five against Nobs & Nockers at Pawlett Legion.

Brunettes’ The Clan won by 23 at the Bunch against Old Prunes; Jack & Jills had their first win against Forest Grumps by 28; and Mixed Bunch’s Neil Perkins’ score of 59 was welcomed in their win away to Mix & Match at Castle Club.

The Cornhill Division had two very close fought games; Split Happens won by two against Train Gang and Mansion House Misfits held on for a three-pin win at home against The Tools despite Josh Fowler’s 60. Railway Six were at home to Pensioneers and won by 31.

Early Champions Division leaders Patsy’s Pussies continue on course with a 46-pin win against Corkers at Bunch of Grapes.

Hot on their heels are Cannon Girls who won by 14 against Bill’s Bunch.

Flopperettes were the winners by four against Castlettes at the Market and Mo’s Gems won by 21 at the Railway Club against Rainbows.

In the Emeralds Division, Cheeky Girls’ Nicki Baker topped the board with 59 in their win at Nan’s Girls and Kath Perry was top banana with 54 for Twiglets in their home win against Mothers Pride.

Wotsits played Nutcrackers and won by a convincing 48 with Michelle Gould (53) top scorer and El Syd beat Munch Bunch by 22 at home.

All cards were received this week from the Pearls Division.

Globe Inn, Cannington, saw both their teams triumph with Global Girls’ Lisa Nash scoring 60 in their home win against Generations and Geef Teeths win away to Lambettes by nine.

Heatherbelles travelled to the White Hart and won by 28 with Tina Miller topping the board and Indie Girls won by eight against newlyformed team Stumpers at BARFC.

The Rubies Division also witnessed some very close games, namely Rockets winning by one against Bobby’s Team and Sportsman losing by one to Spares.

Heather Knight topped the board for Vixens in their away win by 11 against Fluffy Dusters and Hit or Miss lost out to Louby Lous by 21 at the Castle Club.
