BRIDGWATER College’s Team BC rugby player Dan Frost has earned himself double national selection in both the England Colleges and England full under- 17 teams.

Dan, who has been granted an elite sports scholarship by the College and plays hooker for North Petherton RFC and Bath Academy, has put in excellent performances for Bath recently, resulting in a call-up to the full England under-17 squad.

Matches against the other home nations will take place over the coming weeks.

Dan has already played two games for England Colleges against the Welsh equivalent and Irish Exiles.

Despite being still only 16, Dan was named man of the match while playing out of position as blindside flanker in England’s first win over the Welsh for several years.

Dan, a former student of Robert Blake Science College, said: “Bridgwater College and, in particular, my Elite Sports Scholarship has helped me towards achieving my goals of playing international rugby.

“I’ve also received top level support and guidance from all my coaches at College.”

Luke Buckingham, sports development manager at Bridgwater College, said: “Dan has been in exceptional form this season for Team BC Rugby, North Petherton, Bath Academy and, most recently, for England Colleges, and we are delighted he has been recognised at the very top level.”
