Bridgwater 192-4, Ashcott & Shapwick 104
BRIDGWATER completed a weekend double over rivals Ashcott & Shapwick with an 88-run victory in the National Knockout Cup on Sunday.
Batting first, Bridgwater scored 192-4 thanks to an unbeaten half-century from Mitchell Windsor (65no) and further contributions from Merv Hallaran (38) and Chris Gange (26).
In reply, Ashcott were bowled out for just 104, with Andy Roberts (3-8) and Chris Skidmore (3-26) doing the damage.
Bridgwater face Cornish Premier League side, Werrington in the second round - with the tie to be played this Sunday (May 11) at The Parks, 1pm start.
