THE Gallery were emphatic 6-2 winners over Division 4 side Tone Youth in the Seward Cup final.

Jamie Evans, Jack Crocker, James Bawden (2), Richard Ball and Mark Pope all netted for The Gallery, while Gary McKiernan scored both of Tone’s goals.

On Tuesday night, Blagdon Hill were 4-0 winners at Dulverton Town and, in Division 5, Morganians Reserves had a 4-0 home win over Bridgwater Grasshoppers. Ashley Clapp got the first on the hour with Andrew James then adding three more.

In Division 1 on Thursday, leaders Highbridge Town beat Alcombe Rovers 2-0, while last year’s champions, Locomotives, were beaten 1-0 by North Petherton.

Sampford Blues and Staplegrove Reserves played out a 1-1 draw, as did Blagdon Hill at Westonzoyland in Division 2.

Stogursey beat Hamilton Athletic 3-2 thanks to goals from Murray Lister, Daniel Glover and Ryan Chidgey.

In Division 3, Morganians kept their title hopes alive with a 4-0 win at Redgate – and Bridgwater Sports Reserves and Galmington Dragons shared the points with a 2-2 draw.

Milverton Rangers had a 3-1 away win at Alcombe Rovers Reserves – and in Division 4, Woolavington beat Williton 4-2.

East Bower beat local rivals Bridgwater Wolves 1-0 thanks to a Jack Edwards penalty.

Staplegrove Colts produced possibly their worst performance of the season against Creech Cougars to lose 6-1.

On to Saturday’s action, and Sampford Blues beat leaders Highbridge Town 2-1 in Division 1 while Staplegrove Reserves conceded late goal to draw 2-2 against Locomotives.

Bishops Lydeard got a 2-1 win at Porlock with a Sam Hallett brace – and a tired and depleted North Petherton outfit were undone by a battling Middlezoy Rovers Reserves side who won 4-2.

In Division 2, Wembdon could have closed the gap but went down 1-2 to Dulverton Town.

Blagdon Hill, however, have closed up with a repeat of the Knock-Out Cup final, beating Stogursey 4-2.

Minehead and Westonzoyland played out a 1-1 draw, Michael Hodgson and Harry Millard scoring for their respective teams.

Hamilton Athletic won the late kick-off at Watchet 7-3.

The Gallery helped their ambitions of the double with a 2-0 win at Milverton Rangers in Division 3.

Highbridge Town Reserves beat Redgate 4-2 with Bryan Pearce scoring two – and Bridgwater Sports Reserves and Wyvern Rangers Guns shared the points in their six-goal thriller.

Alcombe Rovers Reserves’ 1-0 win over Sydenham sees them move level on points with their opponents, Martin Green was the scorer.

In Division 4, leaders Tone Youth overcame their disappointment of Tuesday night’s Cup Final defeat to get their league championship campaign firmly on track with a 3-1 victory over Porlock Reserves.

Norton Fitzwarren beat Williton 4-1, while North Petherton Reserves beat Dulverton Reserves 3-2, Lee Hooper and Tom Edworthy scored for the home side.

Division 5 leaders Wiveliscombe beat Norton Fitzwarren Reserves 8-2 with a hat-trick from Edd French, and one each from Tom Welch, Oli Price-Bates, Lloyd Cuthbert, Josh Barrett and Ash Roberts.

Ash Rangers are a point behind after also scoring eight, theirs coming against Bridgwater Grasshoppers who didn’t reply.

Morganians Reserves beat Hamilton Athletic Foxes 3-0; Ashley Clapp opened the scoring, Sam Tucker added the second and Norton gifted them an own goal.
