BRIDGWATER Cricket Club begin preparations for the 2014 season with a series of friendlies starting this Saturday, the first XI travelling to Devon Premier side Bovey Tracey while the seconds WEPL newcomers North Petherton on Sunday at 1pm.

On Saturday, April 19, the firsts travel to Minehead while the A XI host a Wembdon side in the Andison/Coombes Trophy at 1pm.

On Sunday, April 20, Ilminster are the visitors to The Parks.

On Saturday, April 26, the first XI play Welsh Premier outfit Port Talbot at The Parks, while the second XI make the short journey to old rivals Uphill Castle, both matches starting at 1pm.

The action starts in earnest the next day as Bridgwater clash with Premier One rivals Ashcott & Shapwick in the ECB National KO Cup first round at Shapwick with a 1pm start.
