Rich Fey calls on Bridgwater Town's fans to get behind the club

BRIDGWATER Town manager Richard Fey is calling on the club’s supporters to get behind the team as they head into consecutive home games next week.
They travel to Bishops Cleeve tomorrow night (February 18) before two home games against North Leigh and Thatcham.
Saturday’s game at Mangotsfield was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Cossham Street.
Fey is desperately hoping tomorrow’s game goes ahead, but called on the fans to attend the home games in large numbers.
He said: “It's been like pre-season again with only playing once since December 28. Saturday at Mangotsfield was our eleventh postponement and we’re facing midweek fixtures like other clubs right through till end of season.
“All we seem to be doing is training on astro-turf, spin classes and fitness work - and there is only so much you can do. Tuesday is in doubt already as their ground suffers with flooding.
“After that we’ve got North Leigh (February 22) and Thatcham (February 25) at home and I'm asking for all the people who supported us in the cup runs early in season and who helped us get that far to come back and bring a friend and really get behind the club.
“We would love big gates the next two home games. I don't know what performance you will see, but after the last nine weeks lack of football we will be fresh and raring to go.”
