Bridgwater Mercury: Enmore Park raise charity funds Enmore Park raise charity funds

ENMORE Park club captain Mike Rossiter and Past Ladies Captain Sheila Bowden presented cheques totalling more than £8,000 to The Motor Nuerone Disease Association and Home-Start Bridgwater at the Annual Christmas Draw.

The money was raised from various events held during 2013.

Mike and Sheila are pictured with representatives from both charities.

Enmore Seniors recently entertained Weston-super-Mare seniors for a 'Winter Warmer' match.

It gave captain Keith Norcutt one last outing in this role and the Enmore team did him proud by romping home with a 6 matches to 2 victory.

Better still with the reverse fixture arranged for February, Enmore will take a +16 advantage to the links course. Enmore points were gained by a magnificent 7up victory by captain Norcutt with Bob Burton closely followed by Jim Symcox with David Pascoe winning 6 up.

Other winning pairs were Ken Doig with Jim Potticary (4 up); Iain Stewart with Roger Anniss, Graham Pain with John Rigler and Chris Topps with John Newell, all winning by 1 up.
