Burnham Ladies 9, White Eagles III 0

BURNHAM put in a very professional performance against a young Eagles side in their last league game this year.

They were bright and positive from the start and quickly went ahead which gave them the confidence to push on.

Carly Bush opened the scoring with a delicious backward flick through her legs from a fizzing shot by Caroline Hunt.

Nicki Glanville doubled the lead with a cracking shot from a short corner with Hunt providing the assist again.

Hunt got herself on the scoresheet with a sweet strike from another short corner before adding another with a fine solo effort which took her around the keeper.

Bush got her second stabbing in at the far post after a classic byline run from Sarah Johnson and this same move provided an identical goal soon afterwards, this time for Hunt to deservedly complete her hat-trick.

Johnson was having an outstanding game constantly marauding down the right and she was again the provider for Bush’s hat-trick with another cross that went through the keeper’s legs for Bush to tap in right on the goal line.

7-0 at half-time saw the match already won and it was not surprising that Burnham took their foot off the gas.

Kerry Harvey capped her usual impressive display with a fierce shot at the near post after some great dribbling skills created the chance for herself.

Bush got her fourth and Burnham’s final goal by being in the right place at the right time again following great work by Louise Peace.
