DALE Stock handed in the round of the day in the Super Series round played on Saturday. He defied the strong winds to post a winning total of 43 points beating the rest of the field by four and also reducing his handicap to 19 in the process.

Runner up was Mark Hatfield with 39 whilst Barrie Tucker took third on 38.

The following day the Open Threeball competition was contested and the strong wind had disappeared only to be replaced by steady rain for much of the day. The winning team were the last ones to finish in the shape of visiting trio Ross Gallacher, Jack Huntley and Pete Robinson. They found the course very much to their liking with in particular 16 handicapper Huntley excelling in their winning score of 126. Second place went to Ian Adams, Barrie Tucker and Tony Romeo on 128 while Matt Haskins alongside Steve and Gail Mason took third on 130.

The Brean Seniors successfully retained the King Brean Trophy at Kingweston GC today with a comfortable aggregate success. After holding a 4.5 to 1.5 lead form the first leg at Brean earlier in the year they repeated the exact same scoreline at the Millfield School course to secure a 6 point victory overall and bring the silverware back to Brean for another year.
