Enmore Park Seniors busy programme was slightly curtailed when the match at Wells Golf Club was cancelled due to incessant heavy rain; however, just two days later, they travelled to Clevedon when they were on the wrong side of a 4½ to 3½ result. This score was to repeat in the next games too! Enmore's points at Clevedon were gained by Paul Waplington and Mike Perry (1up); David Pascoe and Phil Taylor (2&1); John Coleman and Danny Markland (3&2). The half point secured by Ian Stewart and Ray Hancock.

Enmore then looked forward to consecutive home fixtures. The first, against South coast rivals Lyme Regis, resulted in a return to winning ways, again by a 4½ to 3½ score line. Three winning pairs and three halved matches with only two pairs losing outright was a welcome improvement in form. Winning pairings were Graham Pain and John Taylor with an excellent 7 to 6 advantage; Mike Perry and Dave Cousins (4&3); Paul Waplington and Merv. Slocombe (3&2). Half points were won by David Pascoe and Paul Hibberd; Max Jameson and Jim Symcox; Peter Robinson and Roger Pond. The second home fixture featured the Mendip seniors visiting Enmore Park and 4 ½ to 3½ was the result. Sadly for Captain Keith Norcutt it was not in his favour. The match started in light rain which gradually became heavier as the afternoon progressed. However the course played beautifully throughout despite the downpour. Enmore's wins were secured by Max Jameson and Roger Anniss with a convincing 6 to 5 advantage; captain Keith Norcutt returned to winning ways with partner Chris Marshall (4&3); Peter Hamshere with John Coleman (2 up). The match rested on the last group's result where Jim Potticary and John Patterson valiantly were only able to secure a half point. Enmore's next fixture is against new opposition with Yeovil visiting today (Tuesday) followed by an away day at the seaside with a trip to Weston on Thursday.
