SOMERSET batsman Nick Compton scored his second century in consecutive Test matches in New Zealand last night.

Compton, who was so prolific for the Ciderman last summer, hit exactly 100 and shared in a second wicket stand of 210 with Jonathan Trott (121 not).

England finished the first day of the second Test in Wellington on 267-2.
