HOPES of Bridgwater Town Reserves' first match in six weeks against Bishops Lydeard hang by a thread as heavy rain looks to upset the apple cart once again.

Fairfax Park is still recovering from a thaw of snow and with more heavy rain forecast, club officials fear another match could fall victim.

Town Reserves have not played since December 8 meaning they still sit in 15th place.

There will be a pitch inspection at 4pm tomorrow (January 29) afternoon.

Bridgwater Town first team had both their matches against Mangotsfield United and Poole Town postponed and will keep their fingers crossed for some action this weekend when Abingdon United are the visitors. Kick-off is 3pm, weather permitting.

Town's Ladies faced another blank match day as their scheduled County Cup tie against Nailsea United was postponed. They have not played since October 21.

*MIDDLEZOY Rovers had to postpone their match with Burnham United Reserves due to a waterlogged pitch. They are at home to Nailsea United Reserves this Saturday.
