Snow brings rugby fixtures to a standstill
RUGBY came to a standstill at the weekend with all games falling foul to the weather.
Bridgwater and Albion had their South West One home fixture with Sidmouth postponed after their College Way ground was covered in snow.
North Petherton also had their clash with Paignton cancelled until a later date as the region got battered by blizzards.
There was no more play further down the rugby echelons as Somerset One side North Petherton 2nds had their match at Wellington postponed along with Albion 2nds’ clash with St Bernadettes Old Boys.
In Somerset Two South, Albion 2nds, Albion 3rds were called off at Crewkerne and Morganians postponed their home tie against Ivel Barbarians.
North Petherton 3rds had to re-arrange their Somerset Three South league match with Wellington 3rds.Bridgwater and Albion's main stand has been given a new-look as four sponsors join to support the club.
Club Chairman, Steve Smith said "We would like to thank our four new grandstand sponsors, Mercedes of Taunton, RT Signs, O2 Bridgwater and Monmouth Scientific for their generous support. The addition of new companies to be associated with Bridgwater & Albion is always welcomed. The signs also give a great modern look to the front of the stand"
