Clevedon II 3, North Petherton II 19

NORTH Petherton 2nds finally got back into action with a win over Clevedon at the weekend.

It was the home side who took the lead with a penalty but Pethy never looked back from that point and totally dominated the match.

Dan Pearce stroked over two penalties in the first half and two in the second half while veteran Russ Potter scored a good trademark try, crashing over after the forwards probed from a line out catch and drive.

The whole team played their part in and all round great performance against a side in the top three.

Club spokesman Simon Freeman said: “With two games left before Christmas the target is two wins against sides below us in the league but we set a level this week that we now must attempt to replicate every week.”
