Somerset Women’s Junior County Cup
Bridgwater Town Ladies 4, Cleeve West Town Ladies 0
TWO Anusia Rourke goals helped Bridgwater progress through to the quarter finals to play Ilminster Town, with a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
Town started slowly but settled into the game and took the lead in the 13th minute when Rourke fired home from the edge of the penalty area.
On 20 minutes, Vicky Tindall ran onto a pass and drove the ball high into the net and they sealed the win on the half-hour mark when Rourke took a left wing pass from Jess Chappell before turning sharply and shooting strongly past the Cleeve keeper.
The second half saw Town increase their lead to 4-0 when Devon Rich cut in from the left and hit an unstoppable 25 yard shot into the top corner.
Next week Town are at home again in a league match against Frome Town, kick-off 2pm at Fairfax Park.
