A HUNT meet returned to Kilve for the first time in 40 years.
The West Somerset Vale Hunt Club met at The Hood Arms for a breakfast before saddling their horses and collecting their hounds.
Villagers gathered outside the pub to see the riders congregate before they headed off into the Somerset fields.
Master Deb Cossey said: “After breakfast we headed out in the sunshine and along the coastline. “There was great community support, which was lovely to see.
“Riding is a great tradition which some villages have lost, so it was good to bring it back to Kilve after so long.”
The meet tied in with landlord John Thompson's 61st birthday. He said: “It really was an excellent morning and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was great to see so many from the village show their support by coming up to see them off.”
