GARRIE Arthur Wynn, the eldest son of Arthur and Jill Wynn of Penlea House, Bridgwater, married Miss Sarah Louise Nation, the only daughter of Michael and Elaine Nation who live at Broadhurst Gardens, Burnham-on-Sea. Garrie is a cleaner at Sharinter Park and Sarah is a retired painter and decorator. The couple, who live in Penlea Avenue, Bridgwater, were married at St Mary’s Church, Bridgwater and held their reception at Wellworthy’s Club, enjoying the day with150 guests. Garrie and Sarah are headed for Cornwall for their honeymoon.

PHOTO: Stan Dean ■ MATTHEW John Williams and Sally Cousins, both of Quedgley, Gloucester, were married at St Mary’s Church, Berrow. Matthew is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Richard Williams, of Berrow, and Sally, the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Anthony Cousins, of Berrow. Matthew is a police officer and Sally is a senior nursery nurse. Their reception for 150 guests was held at The Batch Country Hotel, and they spent their honeymoon in Egypt.

Rachel, a cleaner, is the eldest daughter of Brian and Belinda Higgs, of Burtle. Their reception for 40 guests took place at Shapwick House and was followed by an evening reception for 80 guests.

■ THE marriage of Ross Galley and Kim Davis of Bowline Close, Wembdon, took place at St George’s Church, Wembdon. The bridegroom is the youngest son of Peter and Christine Galley, of Nicholls Close, Durleigh and the bride is the eldest daughter of Terry and Shirley Davis, of Parkway, Bridgwater. A reception for 90 guests during the day and 130 in the evening took place at Bar 27 and the couple spent their honeymoon in Newquay.

The bridegroom, a postman, is the youngest son of Mrs Ottelia Reed of Judy’s Cottage, Westonzoyland and the bride, a care worker, is the youngest daughter of the late Mike and Thelma Wilkinson. A reception for 85 guests was held at The Black Horse, Rhode Lane, Bridgwater and the couple spent their honeymoon in Turkey.

The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs Gordon Coaker of Newton Abbot, and the bride is the eldest daughter of Mr Jim Ramsay and Mrs Lyn Payne, of Bridgwater. A reception for 30 guests was held at The Merry Monk, Monkton Heathfield and the couple spent their honeymoon on the Isle of Wight.

White of Main Road, Cannington and the bridegroom is the only son of Mr and Mrs J. Frost of Fore Street, North Petherton. A reception for 130 guests was held at St Audries Park. The couple spent their honeymoon in Las Vegas and San Francisco in the USA.

■ STEPHEN John Crawford and Desiree Dawn Anstey, of Moots Lane, Bridgwater, were married at Sedgemoor Register Office. The bridegroom is the youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs Crawford and is a carpenter. The bride is the second eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Stewart. The reception was held in a marquee at a private garden and was attended by 25 guests. The honeymoon was spent in Singapore and Bali.

The bridegroom is a sales manager and the bride is classifieds manager at the Somerset County Gazette and the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Baker, of West Hatch, previously of Rocks Castle Farm, Broomfield. A reception for 100 guests during the day and 200 during the evening, was held at a marquee at Meare Elm Barn, West Hatch, the bride’s parents’ home.
