THE ladies group had seasonal entertainment on Friday, November 13, when Jenny Cansdale demonstrated how to make Christmas parcels look really special.

With ribbons and pretty shapes made from bits of leftover paper, simple gold beading and little butterflies and birds bought cheaply from craft shops, Jenny impressed the ladies with her artistic creations.

A surprise last exhibit was a beautifully decorated wedding gift parcel which had three inflated balloons attached.

Brenda Smith gave the vote of thanks.

The next meeting will take place on Friday, November 27, at the parish centre when Reg Hiscox will talk about the work of the Targo Association in Romania.
