FEBRUARY 19 proved to be another special day at the Mark Friendship Club as the chairman and his wife celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary amid many congratulations.

After the cancellation of the previous meeting due to the snowy weather, it was good to get back to business as usual. There was a good attendance and two prospective new members were welcomed. At the next meeting, names will be taken for the outing on April 9, which will be a mystery tour.

The speaker, Mrs Pat Hase, gave a most interesting talk about researching one’s family history. She called it “Fact or Fiction”, which inspired everyone to go home and have a go.

After tea, the afternoon closed at 4.15pm. The next meeting will be on March 5, Yeo Valley Dairies.
