THERE was an average attendance at the February meeting.

The craft box day had been enjoyed by all who attended it, as had been the New Year dinner at the White Hart, Somerton.

A list was circulated to find out what interest there was in a ten-pin bowling day and a skittles evening. A design has been created for a banner and volunteers were asked for to work it.

Birthday girls this moth were Rita Smith, Jan Hart and Rosie Lishman.

Westonzoyland WI is now part of the Polden Hill group. The trading stall did some business as usual.

The speaker for the evening was Mr Foster talking on angels. He certainly gave members food for thought.

He believes that everyone has a guardian angel that could appear in times of extreme crisis.

The raffles were won by Dora Watkins and Mary Thomas.

The competition “Happiness is…” in one sentence was won by Peggy Long.

Teas were provided by June Warden and Mary Thomas.
