WELCOME to 2009, unfortunately we have lost one of our founder members in the last month, Olive Archer who was one of our leading lights of the club being one of the original members to start up Bridgwater Floral Art Club 55 years ago, she will be greatly missed.

The club will be celebrating its emerald anniversary (55 years) this year, with a special evening in November at our open demonstration where everyone is welcome to join us to watch Elizabeth Graham who is a national demonstrator, to drink a toast to the club and have a piece of cake. We shall also be making a donation to a charity. A date for your diary, Thursday, November 19, at East Bridgwater Secondary School.

Club meetings resume this month on Tuesday, February 10 at the New Legion Club at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome. We will be holding our A.G.M at the start of the evening and then Nick Heal will be coming to demonstrate different uses of willow which should be extremely interesting as he is a very talented demonstrator and florist. Please come along.

There are still a few places left for our trip to Westminster Abbey Flower Festival ‘Rejoice’ on May 7. Anyone interested contact Chris on 01278-451169.
