BINGE drinkers in Somerset are being warned of the hidden harm of alcohol amid a government initiative to change the culture.
Health professionals say that consuming more than six to eight units of alcohol - two large (250ml) wines or two and a half pints - in a few hours, is classed as binge drinking.
Liver problems, reduced fertility, high blood pressure and increased risk of cancers and heart attacks are just some of the possible long-term effects.
