RACHEL Nicholas reported a tree down in the appropriately named Treborough.

She said: "This was on our way up to the horses this morning at Treborough! Very very windy up there early this morning."

Lesleyann Hurford messaged to say a tree was brought down by the windes at Bathpool.

And Kevin Baker let us know of a tree being uprooted at Netherclay, in Bishop's Hull.

DEVON and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has received ongoing calls reporting hazardous situations as a result of the weather.

Incidents include electricity poles and wire hanging precariously or on roads, trees down, signs hanging dangerously and numerous scaffolding towers becoming unsafe.

Fallen trees should be reported to your local council.

Kevin Baker has put a message on Facebook reporting a tree down in Netherclay - any more incident, please let us know.

Fire Crews are working with Western Power Distribution, the police and local councils to make these incidents safe.

Be aware of surface water on roads through the counties and ensure you drive safely.

A WPD spokesman said: "In spite of the conditions and being busier than normal, the WPD network continues to operate without major incident with currently 11,000 customers off supply throughout our four regions.

"All incidents are currently being worked on and we continue to work with an enhanced standby rota which has been in place since Thursday and will still be in place going into tomorrow.

"We also have additional staff within the control centres, contact centres and home workers logged on as well.

"Over the weekend we have so far restored approximately 13,000 customers with the busiest regions being the West Midlands, the South West and South Wales.

"We will issue further updates should the situation develop further."
