IS Burnham home to the UK's most festive street?

Trinity Close in Burnham is a relatively small cul-de-sac that is pretty quiet for most the year, but come to December it suddenly transforms in a winter wonderland with each house decorated in hundreds of lights, bringing in visitors from far and wide.

Resident Roger Flower explained that since its inception more than a decade ago, the Trinity Close Christmas Lights have helped raise more than £100,000 for local charities.

This year money raised will be going toward local charity Petal and BARB Search and Rescue.

"We raised £13,300 last year and I hope we can match that and maybe even surpass it this year," Mr Flower said.

"Each house that takes part tries to do something to stand out, and it is amazing to see how each year it seems to get better."

The lights switch on officially took place on Friday, and the Christmas lights display will be there for all to see between 4.30pm and 10.30pm until January 4.

"We just ask that people are considerate when parking, if people can park a little further away and walk it is just that bit more considerate to our neighbours and local residents near Trinity Close."
