WET WET WET: Somerset County Gazette chief reporter Phil Hill is hoping the sunny Somerset weather will return soon
TODAY is meant to be the hottest September day in more than 50 years.
But while the rest of Britain might be basking in the Indian Summer, in Somerset it certainly feels like winter is coming.
Temperatures are predicted to reach around 31C in London the Met Office has said, and while it might be warm here, there's not much sunshine at the moment.
This morning in Somerset there's been heavy downpours of rain, thunder and lightning.
But that's soon set to go and the Met Office says that the sun sunshine should return at around 1pm.
Tomorrow also looks set to be a good day, with temperatures set to hit around 26C.
