Heavy traffic crash involving one car on M5 southbound
All lanes are now open again but there is heavy traffic on the M5 southbound due to a crash involving one car.
The accident occurred at 8:24am between junction 22 for A38 Burnham-on-Sea and junction 23 for A39 Bridgwater North.
One fire engine from Burnham on Sea attended, as well as one from Bridgwater.
There was one female casualty involved, and crews arrived on scene and confirmed all people were free and clear of the vehicle.
Police, ambulance and Highways England also attended.
Crews made the vehicle and scene safe and duty of care was left with the police.
